Dissolves away spider veins for good

When veins are too small for sclerotherapy, we may use another treatment called VeinWave™. Basile Vein Specialists is the only clinic in the region to provide this state-of-the-art technology.

VeinWave therapy for small telangiectasias of the leg (“spider veins” or “thread veins”) is generally used with microsclerotherapy, to offer a comprehensive treatment.

Various parts of the body may be treated using this procedure, including:

  • Legs
  • Ankles
  • Most parts of the body that have thread veins or spider veins

What’s Involved?
VeinWave involves using a fine needle to barely pierce the skin and deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy to the veins being treated. The veins then heat and shrink.

What Are The Results?

Following treatment, the veins will begin to gradually disappear. This process usually takes about four weeks, although some patients experience almost instant results. In some cases, repeat treatment may be required to fully remove residual “thread veins” that may remain after the initial treatment. Each treatment may last about 20 minutes, and minimal discomfort is experienced.

Unlike surface laser therapy and sclerotherapy treatments, no bandages or compression stockings are required. The VeinWave procedure also does not require patients stay out of the sun or limit their activity in any way.
